How to Respect your Neighbors

Living next door to someone can sometimes be difficult. No matter what, you should always try to respect your neighbors and their property. You never know, the nosy neighbor across the street might be the one that calls the police when you are at work and someone is breaking into your house.

Step 1

1. If you are new to a location, or if someone is just moving in next door, at least introduce yourself. You do not have to bring a "cake" over there, but at least welcome them to the neighborhood. When you are both exiting your home location's at the same time, at least wave or say good morning. It will not hurt you to greet someone. You do not know what is going on in their life, and your kindness could change their whole day.

   Have a little respect when parking your vehicle. Just because you have 4 vehicles does not give you the right to park in front of your neighbors house everyday. If you have a driveway, park those cars in the driveway or the backyard. There is not much more annoying then coming home and trying to find a place to park on the street because your neighbor is parked in front of your house!

   Keep your garbage tied up and out of sight and smell before garbage day. Do not leave it in a location, on a hot dry day, right under your neighbors window. Also, if you have dogs or cats , clean up their mess outside. No-one wants to have an outside barbecue and smell their neighbors dog boo boo while cooking hotdogs and hamburgers.

   Treat others as you would want to be treated. If it has blockage, remove a walkway for your neighbor, take their garbage can to their driveway so its not rolling around in the street. Remember, what comes around goes around!!!!
